Allow me to guide you on how to make your own Self…your Sanctuary.

Together we will sit in Silence and Stillness as I guide you to discover what it means to create Spaciousness for yourself.

My explanation for why I meditate is simple...To Feel Grounded, Be Focused, and Live Balanced.

Researched benefits of meditation are:

  • Deep Inner Calm

  • Less Reactivity

  • Clarity of Mind

  • Improved Attention

  • A Healthier Heart

  • Greater Capacity for Self Compassion

After years of struggling with depression and anxiety with little awareness that these mental disorders were running my life, I decided I needed to change something in order to feel different and experience a new way of living. Adopting a consistent meditation practice is part of what saved me.

Meditation is regarded as a discipline because it takes self-discipline to do it. Just like any other sport or exercise, the more you practice, the better you get at doing it. Think of meditation as mental hygiene or a brain workout. Just as your body needs movement to build muscle, to feel good & look good; your mind is a muscle that needs to practice stillness to feel good & develop the part of the brain (prefrontal cortex) that helps you remember to stop and think before you react.

I notice that when I practice meditation daily for 20 minutes, I feel more even keeled and more capable to manage what happens throughout the day. I no longer believe that things happen to me. Instead I tell myself that things happen because this is a part of life and how I respond is my choice.

There are many forms of meditation. Together we can figure out which form of meditation works best for you.
