What if a little girl was taught that her body was meant for more than just physical beauty and procreation?
What if she was shown how to love her body for its wisdom and the freedom it allowed her?
What if she was guided to understand that her hands were meant to create just as much as to serve?
What if she was modeled nurturance and sensitivity by her father and independence and strong-will by her mother?
What if she was explained that she had a choice to be a wife and a mother and that not choosing those paths would make her just as worthy as those who have chosen this destiny?
What if she was encouraged to dream big or dream small with the understanding that her inner knowing would come with time and patience once she knew how to sit with quiet spaces in between all the doing?
Would she Go Places or would she Settle?
Would this little girl care less about her looks and beauty and more about her heart and what’s inside of it?
Would she listen to her dreams and believe them into reality?
I Believe So.
For this reason, this little girl who is now grown will keep listening to her soul, following her heart, practicing her will to dream and see these dreams come to life.
The above was written on May 8th while in flight to Japan. What a year 2026 has been so far. I’ve been really blessed to be able to globe trot to some fantastically gorgeous and exciting and peaceful places. Once back from Japan on May 22nd, my body knew it was time to settle back into home after all of the going places.

Thank you Stevenson for being my special place close to home that will always be THE place where I last heard my father’s voice on that stunning sunny day in April.
Today on June 18th, I am home in my bedroom with a new haircut and a much more relaxed nervous system because I am surrounded by my things, my animals, my garden, and my best friend Chris.
Yesterday, the colleague who has an office across from mine said a colleague of hers was looking for a new office. When her phone number popped up with area code 808, I knew she would be the next person to fill the space of the office that I have so much loved. This Root&Connect office space that I moved into in January of 2022, has been a sanctuary and a sacred place for healing, connection, vulnerability, compassion, and lots of LOVE.
Many meditation classes happened here. And a very powerful process group unfolded here that lasted over 3 years with the same folks coming each week to be seen and heard and felt for their hearts to heal and souls to grow. Individuals came to sit and spill out their fears and deep seated grief.
ALL OF IT HAS BEEN SO BEAUTIFUL and SO HUMBLING. For this I am and will be forever grateful to all the humans who I have had the pleasure to cross paths with. Thank you for trusting me!

Once our warm weathered days end, I will be opening up an office space in Vancouver as I will be licensed in both Oregon and Washington. AND if the Universe wants this for me, I might be teaching yoga at the Yoga Coop/Wellness space I have dreamed to open since graduate school in 2005.
